Nah, wait the few more days for the full version to be released then upgrade to it.

Not at all. The current version is already RTM, so it's pretty much done.

The Technical Preview is somewhat on hold (for new people) and is not allowing new insiders until after launch

It will be difficult to upgrade now. You are better off waiting until the 29th
