What I typically have done is that I have Malwarebytes and AVG (premium). That works for me pretty well especially Malwarebytes for actually finding things and getting rid of them while I use AVG for the firewall and the other protections it gives.

tor is not safe anymore, you can google it for the explanation.

just wasted half an hour of my day to actually try and fine some real evidence that tor is no longer safe (not that tor has ever been 100%, nothing is) and found nothing be people saying that other people are saying it's not safe.
