NVIDIA 970 SLi

Im a fan of nvidia, so i wanna buy a nvidia gpu  :P. Should I wait for the 1000 series and buy a 970 right now, or buy a 980 and keep it for a couple of years. Will the 1000 series be very expensive (over 700 euro)?

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.
