Hi I have been having an issue since I built my computer, a few months but I've been too lazy to get this fixed :/. So basically it occasionally crashes (once a week) for no particular reason except when I hibernate it? It also does it when I start it up type the password open chrome and there it is. The message I receive is

DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL

(tcpip.sys)

There are some _'s in between.

Anyway I did read the sticky thread on how to post and I tried to load up preformance manager but it just wasn't working because I never had access or something. I have the files from the program in that thread you can get them here : http://www.mediafire.com/download/pnz4k2pc2imncfe/SysnativeFileCollectionApp.zip

Computer info:

Windows 8.1

x64 64bit

All the components are a few months old (new)

I've not reinstalled the os and would prefer not to

Computer specs in my sig

If anyone could help me I would really appriciate it I tried to go through the dump files and I had no idea! Thanks

It sounds to me a lot like the driver for your networking chipset is not interfacing properly with the operating system after the system is resumed from Hibernation. I had a similar issue wiuth my network drivers under Windows 7 using an old Nvidia Networking Chipset on the 680i platform.

I didn't ask what it was designed to do, I asked what it was capable of doing.

Ah okay how did you go around fixing this? I could try and updating all the internet and chipset drivers I suppose. Thanks

First I would identify what chipset your motherboard uses for networking. Then I would go to that manufacturers website and obtain the newest available drivers for that particular chipset and download them. Remove the driver using Device Manager by right clicking on the networking device under its respective catagory of devices, and selecting the delete driver option. There should be a tick box under the text pop up that says something along the lines of "Delete Driver" tick that box and select continue. After removing the driver entirely I would then install the drivers I obtained earlier. Reboot the system, and check to be sure that the networking device is working properly and you can establish a connection to the internet.

What motherboard are you using in this build? I'm curious to see what kind of chip-sets I will find it uses after doing a little research for you to try and help out.

Its a ASUS Maximus VII Hero (Z97) Still under amazons warranty so could send it back if needed.
