Hi guys, so recently I have started to have memory issues on my PC due to heavy chrome use whilst running a game + VLC. I decided to buy 2x4GB Corsair Vengeance to go alongside the 2x4GB Vengeance I already had in my PC. When I plug in the new memory my PC continually tries to boot displaying error code 51 before shutting down and then repeating. My two sticks are currently running in 1 & 3, and it will do the same boot loop with the two original sticks plugged into 1 & 2, so i'm guessing it may be a dual channel issue? Do I need to enable dual channel in my BIOS in order to run my new memory?

My system is as follows:

MOBO: Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H

Memory: Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB x2

CPU: Intel i5-3570k

GPU: Zotac NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660

Any help to get the new memory working would be greatly appreciated!

Last time I added RAM and got a boot loop, I had left the back fan's cable stuck in the CPU fan.

EDIT: Yeah it's not your problem probably, but it just might be worth taking a look for any little mistakes like that.

Currently running the PC fine with the original memory so its nothing like that! Thanks for the tip though :)

Well it wasn't so much a tip as sharing my experience with weird problems and recommending a quick look-over lol. I'm not able to help with anything more though, so I'll just slide on out of the thread.  Good luck!!
