Hi,

I'm considering buying the new iPod Touch. I've always been using Android on my smartphones and tablets and I've had good and less good experiences. It seems like Android keeps asking for higher and higher specs while iOS can still perform very well with 1Gb of RAM and lower-end CPUs from what I've heard. I would like to know if purchasing this iPod would be a good idea. I currently have an Android tablet (Asus Transformer) and an Android phone (Wiko Wax) and I'd like to know if Google apps on iOS provide an experience at least as good as on Android devices. I use apps like Google Calendar, Hangouts, Gmail, Drive and Now, but also third-party apps like RunKeeper or social networks which I think would work fine.

What do you guys think? Is iOS OK for an all-time Android user not willing to change their behaviour?

Thanks

I have been using my (rather underpowered - Snapdragon 400, 1.5GB RAM) s4 mini for a while now without any unusual performance problems or apps closing themselves. I really wonder what exactly is going on in the high-end market right now <_<

You shouldn't have any problems using Google Apps on your iDevice. as @gFrenken97 said, it's just not as integrated.

It's completely blown out of proportion. Also if you're the least bit worried about data gathering then you should go live in a cave a 1000Km from the nearest establishment simply because every device and every entity gathers information these days. In the current era privacy is just fallacy and nothing more.
