Hey, just a quick question:

Since the mouse setting is a multiplier and mouse movement is measured in dot per inch: I currently game on a 1440p set as 1440p at 2.3 multiplier. Lets say I want to do the same on my 13'' 1080p Laptop or change the resolution to FHD. Since I do not want to adapt / retrain all the mouse movement - do I have to adjust mouse movement and how? 1080p is 25% less pixels, so can I simply reduce the multiplier similar when using the same mouse and same windows settings? e.g. 2.3 * .75 = 1.725?

And, even though not on topic: I'm currently MG1 and get r*ped in Competitive from time to time. Any training recommendations for a semi-intermediate player, e.g. vids, articles etc?

Just adjust the in-game sensitivity until it suits you - put the mous on the lowest DPI and play around with the ingame slider till it feels right. I'm sure people will agree with doing the math but at the end of the day if it feels right (and is legal!) then power to you!

I play at 2 in-game at 400dpi, suits me just fine on both 1080p and 1440p, just make larger movements to compensate. Might screw with my aim a little but not enough to effect my MM stats :D

Yeah, I already found a resolution that suits me^^ I'd like to get the same "feeling" on a smaller screen, but I guss I will just try the math and hope that the necessary compensation will be rather minor and can be "learned" quickly^^

Already subbed WarOwl, never heard of the First one, thanks :)

Your resolution doesn't affect sensitivity in cs

Your resolution affects dpi, dpi affects sensitivity, so yes it does.

700dpi on 1440p will feel different than 700dpi on 4K or 1080l.

Sensitivity works by angles, every resolution has same rotation.

Will it feel different? yes but your actual cm/360 wont change

So.... if it feels different then yes, resolution affects sensitivity. :P

okay, thanks to all of you. As a bottom line, I will do the math but will still have some kind of re-adjusting and getting used to which is fine for me as long as it is kind of in the neighborhood of what I came from.

As someone above me said, Warowl and Banagaming have some good tutorials. I'd also suggest watching some tutorials from Steel (pro CSGO player, he's banned for match fixing but his tutorials are really good).
