removing prints from key caps

I am going to get a keycap set. I wanted a blank key, but cant seem to find it here. WASDkeyboard does have them and can ship to me, but itll cost x2. any idea how I can remove the print from a keycaps?

Nail polish remover? I've never tried it though.

If the keycaps are laser etched, you won't be able to remove the print, however, if the letters are printed onto the keycaps, you can use a exacto (Scalpel) knife or something similar and slowly scrape the prints away.

sand them down? EE? Acetone? Hydroflouric Acid? Hydrogenperoxide? depends on the keys. Doubleshot? no way... pad printed? Yes... lasered? Maybe...

 

Best thing is to link the caps if you can...

yay! thanks, will try when I get hands on it. Yes its printed

acid and acetone might ruin the plastic so better not. Thanks anw

Just grab a set of ebay. Qtan and feng are both great sellers and most of what you find in the results will probably be from them just check the ebay seller id.
