Vinyl skins

How do I design custom skins. I just bought a vinyl cutter. Are there templates for console sizes available somewhere or do I have to break out the ruler and trial and error until I get a perfect match.

Not related to the size part. But if you want to cut out pictures, make sure you convert the pictures (make sure you use black and white as it's easier to work with in some software) to vectors so that the plotter knows where exactly to cut.
