can oc harm my gpu?

I have reference 980 and I did some oc. I have 1490mhz clock and 3900 memory and power limit set to 125%. I havent touched any voltages, and adjusted fan profile so after running stress test max temp was 76degress. Would this oc harm my gpu in any way?

depending on your cooler and it does lower the lifespan

While doing any sort of over clocking you will always be running a risk. Do it wrong and yes you could screw up the card but as long as you know what you are doing and do small increases in speed and voltage you should be fine.

yup, I did it in small increses, and max I could get was 1490core. I ran 30min stress test, everything was fine.

Ok cool just watch out with the Temps reference cooler are not the best for overclocking by any means

they limit their self to a voltage that won't kill it, unless you bios mod and de solder some resistors. Temps are fine you're fine 99% of the time, it will decrease lifespan but normally you will have got 2 gpus before its dies for the minor extra voltage.

Yes, it will shorten the lifespan, but you slow it down by keeping temps down
