Best motherboard

Go to solution Solved by Oshino Shinobu,

150$ for a motherboard would be the best for me, can you link me some good motherboards?

All three of these are good

EVGA Z97 FTW

MSI Z97 Gaming 5

Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SOC

I need you guys help, I want to buy a new motherboard, but I don't know which one is the best for under 200$.

"Best motherboard" is a subjective term, what socket, what chipset. etc etc, we need more details.

I really don't know much about motherboards, I would buy I5-4690k but I really don't know what socket it is :(

That's the LGA1150 socket. Preferably, you'll want a Z97 chipset board to get the most overclocking from the CPU.

MSI's SLI Krait board is a very good price/performance board if you don't want to spend your full $200.

EDIT: If you wanted to get closer to the $200 budget, then MSI's Z97 Gaming 7 and EVGA's FTW Z97 boards are good and in your price range.

For $200 you could get allot of good boards but what does the rest of your PC look like as far as hardware and color.

I'm trying to re-build my pc, right now I have a very old motherboard which doesn't even have a sata 3 port and after I buy a good motherboard I'm going to buy a I5-4690K for gaming. I have a GTX 760 gpu, but I think it will do the job for now.

That's basically a $200 MB for a $200 chip.  Maybe consider a $300 chip with a $100 board?  The Devil's canyon 4970k is outstanding for that range and you might get a deal with a cpu/mb combo
