are you talking about windows 8 RT?

8ms response time, i assume BTB. If it's GTG that's ALOT.

8ms is not really that much, and is barely noticeable, the average response time of a keyboard key being pressed is 20ms!!

 

pixels response time is not that relevant as long as its not like a crazy high number, dont forget input lag is just as bad as pixel response

 

honestly 8ms is fine, my monitor is 13ms 1440p PLS panel and I play fast past FPS games just fine

whats the difference between BTB and GTG? Wait whut. The pricelist from my local hardware store says that the LS24E390HL has an 8ms rt. According to Sammy, it has a 4ms (GTG) rt. Is that good?

What, Monitor?

According to my local hardware store, the LS24E390HL has an 8ms rt. On Sammy's website, it has an 4ms (GTG) rt. I should just look at the price of the monitor and not the specs that they list! :P

BTB = black to black. takes longer

GTG = gray to gray. takes less and is usually what manufacturers show on the spec sheet

Don't worry mate, 8ms GTG response time is absolutely fine. On monitors that list a 5ms GTG you never actually know if all the monitor is the same spec, because one part could be 5ms then other parts of the same panel could be say 12ms. The better thing to look at is the reviews, if you see anyone posting issues about ghosting or stuff like that then you know maybe the response time isn't very good (Along with some other things). But you shouldn't be worried about just seeing a 8ms response time, they can perform as good/better than a 5ms at times.
