GNARBOX : Useful?

Hey there guys! 

 

So, i just came across this Kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1028379103/gnarbox-edit-and-share-hd-footage-in-seconds-lapto?ref=category_popular

 

Now, as a hobby i do some video editing and sometimes i have to do travel logs. Having something simple and easy to backup my stuff and carry around seems like a good idea. Specially if it saves room on the backpack and lowers weight of the Gear i need to carry around. 

 

i'm reading around with this thing... and thinking it it would be worth it.... i mean, it seems like a dream for simple video  editing. But maybe it's a bit of a ''Shiny new thing'' over ''This is actually useful'' mindset kicking in.

 

So i wanted to share, and check with others that perhaps might work with Photography or video editing... do you think this is actually worth it's price tag?
