Need steam help!

So a while back i got phished like an idiot by some dick on the internet, and to make a long story short, I got all my csgo items back and everything was okay.

 

Well since then I have done a re-installation of windows (So i know i don't have the virus) and haven't clicked on a single link!

 

However as of today someone on steam traded all of my items to himself somehow. I CLICKED NOTHING!! I am not sure what to do.

 

I have ran multiple security scans, and at this point they haven't came up with any viruses.

My guess is it might be the same guy who did it the first time...I'm not sure

 

What I do know for sure is that Valve is never going to get my items back since its only a 1 time thing... Oh well R.I.P $200 dollar inventory.

 

So the reason I posted this is to not only get an explanation for what happened, but to see if it happened to anyone else. Maybe this is a new hack where they can access your account from anywhere? I don't know..

Go to privacy settings on steam, im not sure if there is a 2 factor setup (but I would assume there is). You do have steamguard on?

Well change your email, turn steamguard off and back on (26 day wait on any transaction I think) until you hear back from Valve

Im sure they would try to, they will probably just tell you to switch email addresses and make sure you use steamguard properly

Im not too sure what their policies are on this type of stuff but chances are they wont be pulling money out of their own pockets.

Let this be a lesson to you if anything. Although a painful one (no-one likes to have their dragon lore go missing), the best you can do is chat to them and at the very worst case they will just give you pointers on how to tighten your accounts security.
