I have the opportunity to get them at 5.44$ per fan. Worth it for five of them on my radiators vs their 4 pack of el-cheapos at $12?

They're designed as case fans you want specialized static pressure fans if you want to put them on a radiator

I remember them to be quite loud, but for the price I wouldn't expect much more from them.

For a radiator they don't have a very good SP, so I wouldn't recommend it for that use.

I realize this. I have terrible no-name fans at the moment. I was planning on this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103052&cm_re=radiator_fan-_-35-103-052-_-Product

but then I saw that I can get the sickleflow fans for a decent price.

What is the size of the radiator and is it a CPU radiator?

Those fans look decent but they are only 3 pin connectors which means it won't have variable speed control based on RPM and temps you can only control 3pin through voltage

I have heard that the mounting ring on the sickel makes it unreliable when mounted at an angle (so not horizontally or vertically). He was a really knowledgeable friend so i never bothered to check out if thats the case. But worth noticing.

My Sickleflow fans whistle quite a bit when the RPM's come up, and using my fan controller they buzz whenever they aren't on the lowest or highest setting. They move a lot of air though, and if you can get them for a good price then go for 'em.

I ended up going for antec's twocool fans because 1200 RPM is enough for my needs and I have some similar fans that seem to push enough air through the rads. That and I got the fans for less than 5$ apiece
