Custom cards in general have an better cooler than an reference card

The blower cooler is better for SLI, and since it uses a reference PCB there will be more waterblocks for it.

Better compatibility with water blocks. That's the only major advantage I can think of. And it looks pretty good, if you're into that sort of thing.

reference cards are better for SLI and if you don't have great airflow in your case. Ref cards exhaust heat out the back instead of back into your case.
