gtx 770 driver issues freezing

i got a gtx 770 2gb and i had a memory issue with computer and i replaced the ram but i have windows 8.1 and when i play games my monitor randomly goes to sleep or into a black screen when in demand or i get the message saying my up to date driver has stoped working is it with the new ram for now i do only have 4gb ddr3 ram in the system or is it my gpu
