hey guys i purchased a PNY ssd with good rated speeds 500 read/350 write and 79,000 IOPS and did hard drive clone with reflect software,

It cloned fine and everything but it doesn't seem to be faster at all maybe a tiny bit but not really. I went to bios and disabled old hd as a boot device to be sure, but in my msi bios it can only boot up from something called uefi bios boot drive is that just a partition from the ssd?

Cloning is iffy due to lack of error correction. It is best to do only when you have 2 identical drives on the same SATA controller. Not between different drives, let alone HDD to SSD.

So that is one thing.

Second, Ignoring the boot speed, how is Windows itself, does your program start faster?

Is your SATA controller set to AHCI mode in the UEFI/BIOS setup screen?

What Windows are you using?
