Which Phone?

So I won an award at work for my Q2 performance (I work for Verizon Wireless) and I get to choose a phone for free for personal use.  My brother and I have GS6's and my mom has a turbo.  Dad has an HTC One M8 Windows and wants to go back to Android.  Here is my take

 

GS6: No because of battery life

Turbo: Maybe but Lollipop doesn't work great on it

G4: Seems like the front runner

HTC One M9: Just seems too meh to me

I fucking love that phone, can't wait to get the money for one...

Just no real support for it.  It's a nich phone that is waterproof.  Specs are meh TBH

I love my Galaxy Note 2, but the newer ones would probs be better.

GS6 Active? Almost everywhere I read, the GS6 is the top pick (despite the battery life), but the Active solves that issue.

The loss of the fingerprint sensor is somewhat bothersome to me, but since you have the GS6, you know how much you use it, and can judge for yourself.

 

Otherwise, yes, G4 with a plastic back (not leather because it wears fairly quickly).

I own one personally and it's fantastic. The best phone I've used yet.

I don't know how real the leather is on the G4, and even if it is genuine leather, there are different grades of leather they could have used. Anyway, the leather on the G4 wears with heavy use within months (link, people in their forums report same).

 

The ceramic coated diamond pattern plastic one (don't remember official name) seems to be the top pick for most folk.

Apparently, it's full-grain leather, but it's pretty thin, so it does wear a bit.

 

The black leather options seems to be the most popular out of all the leather options.
