Help!

My screen replacement for my laptop has arrived and I began installing it. I connected the cable to the back of the screen from my laptop and when I turn the laptop on, there's a bright white light on the back of the screen however the actual screen isn't displaying anything. I don't have a HDD installed on the laptop but isn't the startup logo supposed to appear? Can someone please help me, nothing is appearing on my screen.

Try installing back the HDD....

It needs some type of storage to get anything. Laptops can not show logos on hopes and dreams.

I put my HDD in. My HDD has nothing on it keep in mind. Screen still displaying nothing.

Well install OS in it.

GUYs the laptop can boot into the bios without an HDD. he says all he sees is white light. either he forgot/bad connection, he got a bad LCD.

Well great. My laptop isn't even turning on now. The backlight is working however the actual screen displays nothing.

there should be 2 connections from your LCD to mobo. One for display, and one for backlight

My laptop only has one. I know it's one because there was only one when I removed the broken display.

Okay, my laptop works now. But it still displays nothing and I can't access the BIOS.

Alright, so I found this video on YouTube -

 

The screen replacement is EXACTLY the same. The same screen, same everything however his one displays the OS whilst mine doesn't even though I put in an SSD with an OS installed. I can't even enter the BIOS. ​
