Hi!

I want to ask a question-if i buy a new cpu and its not compatible with my motherboard chipset will its still work?

If you are talking about haswell and haswell refresh yes, you can update the bios of the chipset( Z87. H87. H81. B85. Q87. Q85.).

others, no.

What cpu and what motherboard are you talking about?

ps. follow your own topics.

Seems like the Bios Ver. F8(for rev 1.0 motherboard) and FC(for ver2.0) supports it just fine. Just update the bios before using the new CPU

OR you need is a loaner Haswell CPU to boot the pc and flash the bios, if you dont have any compatible cpu. as it doesnt support usb/web flashing
