Does this new network solution make sense?

So I'm planning on upgrading my home network from its current situation with an isp provided wireless router and some powerline networking trying its hardest to help. I'm thinking of upgrading to a 4 poe x 4 non-poe switch to replace the router and adding in a ubiquiti ap to provide wireless for the whole house leaving a possibility for a second if ever needed. The wifi coverage in my house just isn't cutting it. it's constantly cutting out and our ISP put the router in the absolute worst part of the basement of course where relocating it is way too much of a hassle. To relocate router I'd have to re-route all the ethernet cabling in the house and extend cable into home somehow, so that's not happening. The powerline is just some junk $25 solution I got out of desperation, but it can't keep up and switching between it and my home network are a pain (first world problems right?). So does this solution seem reasonable for my situation? overkill? not enough? Ap would be installed into a two level backsplit home ~2500 sqft in the "center" where the staircase is. I'm open to all suggestions, so let me know what you all think!

UAP & UAP LR will not work on a POE switch. They need to be connected to either their injector or a Ubiquiti switch due to a proprietary POE voltage being used. Otherwise you end up frying them. Also go for the UAP-LR.

ok thanks! I did not see that anywhere on ubiquiti's site. I'll just go for a non-poe switch then and the UAP LR.
