Motherboard Upgrade.

Okay so I'm currently using the ASRock 960GC-GS FX Motherboard and I'm wondering will upgrading to the Asus M599FX Pro R2.0 notice any substantial differences in gaming?

aside from OC performance, onboard audio and sli/crossfire a motherboard upgrade will help nothing.

although the Asus motherboard supports SATA  6gbps and the Asrock motherboard only supports SATA 3gbps...is that noticeable?

What CPU are you using or planning on using? If you have an 8320 or higher you will notice better performance since the 990FX has much better power delivery. Your CPU will not divebomb when the VRM overheats.

If you've got an fx4300 you won't notice much of a difference at all but you will still benefit from the newer features.

Fx6300 will be able to overclock much further.
