Alright, so, about a month a go, out of the blue, arma 2 started to drop frames. I noticed that my FPS was lower a lot more than it used to, and I would constantly drop down to 0 frames. One day, I turned off Shadowplay, and I noticed all my FPS issues were gone. I turned it back on to confirm, and yes, ShadowPlay is my issue.

What I've tried:

- Reinstalled windows

- Reinstalled Arma 2/Mods (I play the DayZ mod)

- Tried older versions of drivers

- Set ShadowPlay folders to an SSD to prevent bottleneck.

Now, this is isolated to Arma 2. No other game has this issue.

Anybody have any ideas?

try another capture program? I'm not sure how well arma works with shadowplay

just playing arma2 can cause arma2 to lag.

I used to be able to play it just fine with Shadowplay working. 60+ FPS pretty much constant

could have been an update that screwed it up.

Arma 2 isn't updated anymore, and I've tried older versions of drivers.

hmm... not sure then, are you bottlenecked by storage?

I saw that, what i meant, is your storage being bottlenecked?

No, hence why I had Shadowplay use the temp/save folder on my SSD.
