Tech tax around the world

I've always wondered what different countries pay on consumer electronics.

 

Here in the England Land of UK, you pay a pre-calculated amount, which includes 20% tax, on all consumer electronics (so for example, my £269.00 GTX 970 has a pre-applied 20% tax already applied, so before tax it's about £225).

You can claim the tax back if you're getting it for business. Gaming is business, right?

 

 

You guys in America have the cost of things good, although I'm aware it differs by state. No idea what tax is like on Canada - is there an import tax from USA to Canada?

Yes , i bought my PC taxless , because i bought it thru a firm ,

it was 1250€, with tax it would be 1500€

its 22% tax here
