Hello guys,

I want to install windows 8.1 on my pc but when I select the disk, windows says I have mbr and it need gpt. I switch the SSD to gpt, and it says it can't install because it needs mbr and not gpt?!

I have no windows on the SSD and it also has been cleaned (everything is deleted). I just wanted to reinstall Windows on my PC

what's the problem because everythng on my SSD is deleted and i'm about to throw my PC in the river outside my house?!

Thank you

Change it back to mbr and then format and repartition the drive. I ran into this issue a few weeks back and I just had to keep formatting/repartitioning until it decided to cooperate.
