get 2 8GB modules instead of 4 4GB modules.

its X99, dat quad channel yo.

yes, it wont help, but might as well make use of the extra ram channels.

I guess the more channels I use the more speed I get my friend explained it to me like this . if you have 4 racing cars and 4 lanes and you want the 4 cars to reach the end at the same time it would be wise to put every car in different lane instead of 2 in the same lane . please correct me if I got it wrong or something.

thank you for replying.

in reality, when doing memory bandwidth intensive things, dual channel will be about 10% faster than single channel, guessing it'll be about the same for dual to quad channel.

will you ever do anything this memory bandwidth intensive? no.

is it worth it? well, the price difference is that little you might as well go for it. also: symmetry.

i don't think the 4790k will bottleneck two 980 ti's in sli. this pc would play everything very well @ 1440p. just make sure you have a 1ms, 144 hertz, gsync capable monitor. i don't see the point in going the x99 route for gaming. you don't need 1tb of ssd space. 120gb for an os is fine. 2tb of hybrid space is enough. the main focus should be on the gpus

I really like eh440 but I'm afraid that it's going to be small when I want to upgrade.

thank so much for taking the time to put all these together I really appreciate it.

I'm really not interested in 2-SLI GTX 980 Ti it's too much money for not so much. basically you replaced all the high end component with low-mid for an extra GPU that will be slow next year.

I hope you don't take it in a bad way any reply is very welcome.

Since the PC is mainly aimed at gaming, going x99 is just a pointless waste of money. You should probably stick with an i7-4790/K if you ever need to do some editing, adobe work, etc and have 16GB Ram just in case. Main question here is what monitor are you using? The main thing you should ask yourself here is the resolution and framerate you want to play at. Also whether you may want Gsync/Freesync? Also the H440 has plenty of room for further upgrades and it will handle SLI easily. Just make sure that you have adequate airflow coming into the case as it doesn't have much natively. Here is a quick spec list i put together, but without the GPU/s as I need to know the monitor/s you will be using.

PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/VRqZ7P

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($318.99 @ SuperBiiz)
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i GTX 70.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler  ($99.99 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard: MSI Z97-GAMING 5 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($139.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Red 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory  ($96.29 @ Amazon)
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 500GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($161.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: Western Digital BLACK SERIES 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  ($156.00 @ B&H)
Case: NZXT H440 (Black/Red) ATX Mid Tower Case  ($99.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: EVGA 1050W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply  ($134.99 @ NCIX US)
Total: $1208.23

On a quick side-note, any particular colour scheme you have in mind?
