So I'm thinking about adding more storage to my computer. I currently have 3x2tb black drives setup in Raid0. I am using as RocketRaid 2720SGL as the controller. I'm wondering if I add more drives if I would have to redo the partition by scratch or if It would just add the additional storage? If I can't add more 2tb drives, I might as well just rebuild the whole partition with larger drives if I can't add to what I currently have.

You'd have to repartition everything if you wanted to add more ssds/hdds to your raid.

Crap! I was afraid of that. Good thing Prime day is almost here! Thanks for your help.

You know raid 0 gives you speed but no protection right? if any drive fails you lose the lot.

A little knowledge is very dangerous

Oh I know the risk I run... I also run my OS on Raid0 of 2x 500gb 850 evos. But I back everything up to my NAS which is in RAID5 and also back up the really important stuff to the cloud. I prefer having the speed for games over anything else.
