Best school laptop?

Hey guys, my sister is going into university and she needs a laptop, she's doing business technology so I was wondering if you could recommend something decently powerful, she won't be doing anything gaming related, so rugged build and nice screen is good too, a thin form factor is optional and needs to have a decent battery life. Any suggestions? I'm thinking dell xps 13, my family is a fan of dell as well. Any recommendations? Any help would be appreciated!!!

Oh yes, forgot to mention, I'm in Canada so any recommendations should be in Canada rupees. :D

my wife picked up a surface pro 3 and seems to like it allot. but the i5 version she got is a bit expensive.
