3440x1440 with one 980 Ti

MainStageNews

How well could I run my 3440x1440 monitor with a single 980 Ti. It will obviously be somewhere in between 4k and standard 1440p but on a-lot of the benchmarks there is a huge difference between the two. Does anyone know where I can see benchmarks on this? I have a feeling I will need 2 but id like to save money if I can and if one can last me long enough till Nvidia pascal and gen 2 HBM id like to only one. I only have a single 7970 at the moment so I desperately need an upgrade

You don't need 2!! Don't worry 1 is more than fine. I'm also planning to get a 3440x1440 monitor, and I've looked into it a decent bit because I have a 980Ti too.

Seems to be that as long as AA isn't on full (Which you don't need at 1440p anyway) (And things like gameworks in Witcher 3) then you can easily power that resolution in all games at 60fps
