Surface Pro Coil Whine

Hi, so just yesterday I noticed a high pitched noise while using my Surface Pro. It seems to be coming from the where the two fans are (the top vents). When I put my ear to it I hear what I presume is a coil whine. My question is, is it? This is strange because I've had this for almost two months now and have never hear it before. What could I do to fix it, if possible? I also posted a question on the MS Community forums but got no response. I'm going to chat with their tech support tomorrow, but in the meantime do you guys know whats up?

Thanks! this is exactly the same issue i have. However, It seems there is no clear solution other than disabling the idle state of the cpu which is a bummer because Battery life is an issue with the device. :( I don't really know what to do. I'll still try to call MS and talk to them, maybe something will work out!
