I have an R9 280 and want to water cool my PC I was just wondering if anyone knew a waterblock I could put on it.

You can put a waterblock/watercool any card you'd like but as Sam Z Man said, its not worth it

It's that I need the cooling I just want to try my hand at water-cooling. I looked at EK but they discontinued their block for the 280s.

Just buy a new card like a 390

No. Even if there is one on ebyay, just not worth it.

Even if he was hitting high temps it's not worth it, there are bolt on aftermarket air coolers for the 280 that could solve that problem for around 50$.

I forgot about those air coolers, but in the end it's still not worth it to watercool the card

He said he wants to try his hand at making a custom loop, I can understand that. But since blocks are so hard to find for 280's, I'd recommend selling and getting a card you know is easy to find a waterblock for. I'll have to do the same thing when I can afford a custom loop, since I have a 280 also.
