So let me ask a very legit question; is it possible to fry a new gpu like GTX 900 series gpu etc with afterburner?

Far as I remember, someone told me that it's not possible without using some custom bios which unlocks higher voltages etc.

As currently your windows will crash if your OC is too high or not stable enough, I haven't got my windows to crash with newer cards but benchmarking softwares, those I have.

Also I have noticed that i can set my voltages up to 87 in the afterburner and powerlimit up to 130 with my 980Ti, I couldn't go this high with my previous card which was Zotac GTX 970.

So is it possible that I'd fry my GPU if I'd throw the powerlimit up to 130 and voltages to the max (87)?

Atm I got my OC stable with +30 mV and 120+ powerlimit (powerlimit doesn't go over 100 what I've seen, so I guess I could turn it down a bit.)

My OC atm: +150 on the core and +250 on the memory,  (Core total: 1530Mhz and memory total 3750Mhz).

You could fry it through temperatures.

That makes more sense, atm I use default fan cure as I don't know what is the max safe temp for this card.

In the benchmarks the max temp (with OC) is 73C which isn't bad IMO and when gaming it's usually 50-70C depending what I play ofc.

E: I had 980Ti with reference cooler before this G1 and the temps were around 85-87C (with or without OC).

You can also play around with fan speeds to see what you're comfortable with.
