So, it's about time for my dad to get a new PC. His old Dell is starting to have its faults. Plus it's just very poorly balanced in general.

Here's what I threw together:

He mostly needs CPU power. he does lots of Excel number crunching, web browsing, and stuff like that.

His budget is $800 USD. No peripherals needed

What are your thoughts?

It probably is, but it's his budget so I designed something to fit it.

8GB RAM, i5 4690, stock cooler and scrap the damn GPU, he doesn't play any games.

 

And get a 350W PSU

 

Respect your dads hard-earned money
