I have a GTX 970

I5 4590

8GB RAM

1TB Western Digital Hard Drive

I optimized GTA on Geforce Experience but changed the resolution to my TV's native. Having done this, i assumed that the game would run just fine, but the frame rate drops constantly. It varied in severity, and i don't know if there are specific actions that tick it off, but it just doesn't manage to stay at 60 FPS. I was wondering what sort of solutions are there for this. I mentioned my hard drive because i made a quick google search and noticed some people saying that the game could be running badly because of the Hard Drive. I also noticed that when i use the "self radio" feature i also get framerate drops, this seems to be a problem many are having, although now im not so sure it's because of the radio that i've had the frame rate drops. Any advice?

I would think my CPU and GPU can handle 60 fps, but sometimes it goes from 60 to 54 to 61 to 48 to 58 to 60, etc.

If you have MSI Afterburner running, close it... And if you're having frame drops in the menus such as pause menu or buying stuff, that's an issue with the latest update sadly.

The latest 1.28 patch has hindered performance. I'd recommend just lowering the settings to get it playable and waiting for a hotfix from Rockstar.

i have a CPU Q6600 and a GPU 760 guys how can i fix this bad frames also to run the benchmark properly

also 4GB of DDR2 Ram

Your CPU is really old, running DDR2 RAM in 2015 doesnt help either, i assume your GPU is GTX 760, in that case your CPU severly bottlenecks it.

I had huge stuttering issues when I had my GTX 970, the game isn't as perfect as we could've hoped.
It has its issues, with some GPUs the issues are bigger, with others not so much.

Like with 980Ti no issues at all.

E: Your fps issues aren't even bad, I had drops from 80 fps to 30 to even low 15 (with my old GTX 970).
