Hyper x cloud 2 mic problem

Hi guys

When i 1st got this headset it was perfectly fine.

The mic volume i believed i had broken it beacuse the volume is so low ( my friends tell me on skype) Skype mic volume is maxed and when i go into mic settings to up the mic volume the slider is locked http://prntscr.com/7qvigj

The usb soundcard for the mic is also turned all the way up but the mic volume is still to low & i don't know what to do to make it better
