I just ran into an interesting issues which apparently does not exisit on the internet. My friend jut had a bunch of viruses on his laptop. Which I think I squished all off. But since then now Chrome is giving out the proxy connection error. This issue I am having is that chrome claims that it's using the system's connection settings, is not letting me change them in or outside chrome, and AND I even when int the reg and deleted all proxy settings I can find and still I keep getting the error and not being able to edit the settings in chrome. I need help asap my fellow techies.

Open start, and search for "Internet settings".

Check there for the settings. 1

P.S.

Yes I tried reinstalling chrome, yes I tried going into chromes network settings. THe option for chromes network settings has this under it "Google Chrome is using your computer's system proxy settings to connect to the network." and the option to change proxy settings is greyed out and unclickable
