information about skylake

Hello everyone,

i'm writing to ask you some information about skylake, i need to buy motherboard, CPU and GPU. I already have 12GB of ram, ssd, case and all the other components.

I think to wait until skylake comes out, but i want to understand if ddr3 will be compatible with skylake, if this will be, all the motherboard will be compatible or only special models.

Do you also know the release date, and the price will be the same as the previous generations?

Backwards compatibility is rumored but not confirmed, so your ddr3 may be useless. Personally I would wait if the application isn't high priority. Rumored announcement date is august 5th, no news on release date.
