Hi,

The other day I wrote on this forum to find ways of clearing my SSD, as I felt like my SSD had too much stored on it than it was supposed to have; there were heaps of hidden files. Some person said to me I should use windirstat to look at the files that are in my SSD. The person also said he/she would believe most of the files would be .sys files. He/she was right. 40% of my disk are these files. Is there anyway to remove them or are all of them in use?

My OS is installed on my SSD if anyone is wondering.

Thanks for all the help :D

The only two .sys files you can safely remove are pagefile.sys and hibernate.sys. But windows will recreate these two if you don't disable/modify settings first. You can find both settings with search on control panel. Hibernate resides at Power Management and pagefile under System. With pagefile I highly recommend leaving small one on SSD, like 256Mt and keeping bigger (8gb) on HDD.
