Can't Launch CS:GO!

I have been having this issue with opening CS:GO recently. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it but the problem has not been resolved. 

What should I do?

I press "Play". Then it comes up with the window saying "Preparing to Launch CS:GO" then just stays with that window opened an the game doesn't launch.

I think Steam was having an update or something.

Not that I know of.

 

All other games open fine.But for some reason CS just....doesn't.

Try verifying your game cache. See if that changes anything. (this is done via library, right click on CS:GO and properties, local files tab, verify integrity)

There was an update to the beta client on the 7th

I had this problem once, I fixed it by closing steam and running it as administrator.

Did you restart your PC?
