780.... Refrence?

Go to solution Solved by my414,

I love the look of most reference coolers but i would rather have the extra 10-15 celcius of head room for overclocking. Think about which makes a bigger difference. 5 more fps or a good looking slower card.

Seeing the 780, the stock cooler is sooooo good looking. Especially with the glowing gtx geforce. Ohhhh soooo good looking. But non-refrence has better performance, especially asus's. Do you guys think it's worth it?

Edit: Linus did a video of the best non ref 780 (asus), only 2 more fps

Double edit: okay okay, everyone said non ref. I guess I will get that. Lol :P

Double check everything, I am usually wrong.

Acually 2 more fps, at most. Linus did a video of the best 780 (asus), only 2 more

true, he did a video (and was disappointed on results) about the 780 and review results.

was about the same time The_TEK (Logan) found out that his PSU multi rail wasn't

powerful enough for his 780 review and switched out to the single rail and was granted

better results. and i believe Linus was infected with similar if not the same with his Antec

HCP Platinum HCP-1000 1000 (4x 40amp) PSU. the card needs minimum 42amp for

load (which was the same test bench for the Titan as it needs 38amps). just saying..

Yes, at stock. But if you change the temp / power or whatever targets manually it will be much more than that.

umm, nooo..

Quite honestly I hate the look if DCU 2 , especially the new ones like 780 and 770!

That's just me

The reference

cooler is so beautiful in your case , a glowing GeForce logo !

Like people know your BALLER if you got one gf them , 770 reference. 780 reference and Titan reference coolers ( all the same ) look so nice :3

Though I so quite like the look of twin frozr IV

:)

That's just me

Though gpu boost 2.0 works a lot better with non reference coolers
