Hi , I currently bought a new rig with a wd black 1tb hard drive , but i my old pc has a wd green 1tb ... if i added it to my new rig will it bottle neck my black hard drive ?

Um, I think the answer you're looking for is no? What do you mean would it bottleneck your wd black? Your question is a bit vague.

Edit: If you mean that you think the WD Green would bottleneck the Black, the answer is no. One hard drive shouldn't bottleneck the speed of another unless they are in a RAID configuration.

Bottleneck it as in decrease its speed ... but anyways thanks for the answer :)

So basically would the slower drive make the faster drive slower? If that's the question, the answer is definitely no.

Hey Ghosty2120,

HDDs' speed is not affected by other HDDs in the same system, unless they are put in a RAID array, as @ pointed out. Your WD Black should run just fine even if you ad the WD Green to the system. :) If you want to be sure, run a benchmark test on the drive before and after you add the WD Green drive.
I'd recommend checking WD Green with WD Data Lifeguard Diagnostic tool, since you are reusing it. You'd want your data to be safe and be sure the grives are healthy. Here's a link: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=h3MU7B
