I need some help, I have a 320GB Maxtor HDD(yes, that old) and want to change it to a WD Blue 1TB. If I upgrade to Windows 10 with the 2 HDD's installed, do I get the option to install on the new one? Also, if I don't manage to get the drive before installing Windows 10, how can I install Windows 10 and get free license if I already used the offer?

Thanks for the help!

You should if you boot to the external drive in the bios. To make things easier, unplug your other drive [the one you don't want to install windows on] before you install windows.

Happy to help with any tech problems. Windows 10 installing guide here.

Hey there,

If you are planning a fresh install of Windows, the installer will ask you where to install the OS and you will have the choice between the two drives. The selected partition will be formatted and the data will be gone, so make sure you have a backup if there is data that's present there. :)
