Anyone know if this is possible? I've tried Custom Resolution Utility (CRU) but loading the game (GTA V) causes my screen to show unsupported resoluation. The monitor I am using is AOC I2269VW

Does the 280X not support VSR?

Mine does not have that option. What driver are you using? I am using 15.4.1 oh the 1440 it reads is from CRU and doesn't work

What driver version are you using?

I'm using 15.6 but I have a 290

There were supposed to add support for the 260 and up but they probably forgot

I'll load up 15.6 and check, I didn't know that was out haha

Honestly the 280x will struggle on newer games with down sampling. I wouldn't recommend it. It's a terrific card for 1080p but I would not recommend going to a higher resolution with it on newer games.

And no AMD drivers support down sampling On that card (I own a 280x).

VSR is not officially support for GCN 1.0 but you can enable it with a registry hack.

Easiest way is to use EnableVSR tool from Wagnard website. http://www.wagnardmobile.com/DDU/enablevsr.htm

Max resolution only 1720p tho.

Hmm I can't get this to work. I may try rolling back from 15.6 and trying it on 15.4.1

AMD just released official 15.7 drivers giving support for VSR to all cards(7000 series and up) and many other features

Thank you very much for the info, I'll be downloading and installing that before I pass out.
