So I'm building a new computer which will be upgraded over time.

Specs:

Intel Core i5-4670K

MSI H87-G43 ATX LGA1150

GeIL Enhance CORSA 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory

Fractal Design Core 3000 USB 3.0 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case

Fractal Design Integra R2 650W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V Power Supply

Or the PCPartPicker link: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/1ljCo

Currently have a 500GB HDD already so that's no need to add in, and a GPU will be added soon after.

Feedback? Anything to change?

No reason to get a K processor, since the H87 chipset doesn't support overcloking.

Are you planning on getting a graphicscard? if you don't the PSU is way overkill

why are you buying an unlocked cpu on h87 chipset? I'd switch the mobo. Also what is your usage scenario?

If you have a budget get a 8350, also maybe a better case.

Case is still undecided, don't really want a huge one or one with a window.

First Intel build, not really followed Haswell so I didn't really know, what would you suggest? Also, yes about a month or 2 after I will be putting a GPU in.

Usage is everyday usage, a bit of Adobe, and when the GPU is in, gaming.

Either get a non-K processor to save your money or get a Z87 motherboard and take that CPU to it's limit

I was thinking it needed one, just not right away, depending on the price.

A Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo is like £20 and it's very much worth it.

I'd switch the mobo to a z87-g45 to allow for some moderate overclocking and it's also a generally good board. What's your budget? can you afford a 760/770 for gpu?

Going to switch to a Z87-G45, saving money isn't a problem.

I have one in this build, and it does make a huge difference compared to the stock.

Budget is about £500 for Mobo, RAM, CPU, Case, PSU but things are getting upgraded so in a few months, yeah can get a 760 or 770.

A SSD is a must in my opinion.

Some things like cooler, keyboard, mouse, monitor, dvd, headphones are missing. Maybe you already have that?

SSD is more of a thing that can be put in later on, would rather spend more money on other things to start with.

An SSD makes the biggest difference and is essential to any modern build for a reason.

All your current parts are fine and you don't need to upgrade them.

Just get a gpu/ssd. Every other upgrade will yield very little performance gain.

I'll add them into the list, I just want to get the system running then get an SSD and GPU about a month or so later.

But..isn't your system running right now?

Edit: Oh, you're planning a new build? No offense, but I assumed you were upgrading due to the awkward parts.

What's the system usage going to be?

Yeah, completely new build, and I kinda threw together my current one over about 2 years, it's a complete mess.

Specs? I want to see if there's anything you can reuse.
