I'm trying to build a high-end pc that I can use for schoolwork and gaming.Budget doesn't really matter, just want to make sure everything can fit.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/NYMV99

Also I got this warning at the bottom of my build yesterday. What does it mean?

* Some physical dimension restrictions cannot (yet) be automatically checked, such as cpu cooler / RAM clearance with modules using tall heat spreaders.

why are you getting 3 60hz monitors? 21.5 inches is too small. are you planning on gaming at 1080p or 1440p? what kind of settings do you want to be able to play at?

with close to a 3k budget, you could do much better. a single 980 ti would be a better choice.

that hyper 212 evo isn't enough for that i7 if you plan on overclocking it as best it can.

I think the build below is better because you have an ROG Swift monitor which is so much better than 3 of those shit acer ones and it's 27 inches with 144 hertz, with gsync, and 1 ms.

Single 980 Ti for gaming

MOBO has wifi included as well as Crystal Sound 2:

https://www.asus.com/ca-en/Motherboards/Z97PROWiFi_ac/specifications/

Click above for more info on the sound card that it comes with

Saved you money on your SSD and HDD. You don't need any other fans. You can overclock the piss out of your CPU with that h110 cooler

The PSU below is also ranked highly

Here is the PSU review by Jonny Guru. Rated at 9.6 out of 10

NCIX also allows you to price match everything. Do that to save money if you can. They are a great firm to deal with

It means that the cooler might not fit because your RAM is too high.

EDIT: and you're spending too much tbh

if you're going to be getting a higher end gpu, buy nvidia. honestly, just give us a budget. it's so much easier or else you'll be getting dual 980 ti and x99 builds up the ying yang

unless you have all the money in the world a budget would be nice and what games your planning on playing would be helpful as well

Something under 3k, and I plan on playing more demanding games like battle field on a triple monitor setup.

I like the build, but I want to have a triple monitor setup, I'll keep this build in mind just in case I change my mind.

If you really want to play demanding games on a triple monitor setup and have it look good, buy 3 rog swift monitors. that monitor is the best. this is way our of your budget though.

3 monitor setups don't work well with all games. sometimes the game only shows you 1.5 screens worth of image and just stretches the rest out. imo, i would just go with a single rog swift monitor. that monitor is so good it's crazy.

a single 980 ti should be fine for 3 monitors. it's the best nvidia card out right now besides the titan.

Also do you this this this monitor would be good enough for triple monitor gaming? http://pcpartpicker.com/part/aoc-monitor-e2425swd

Or is there a better monitor for a triple monitor setup?

no it wouldn't be good for gaming because it's a 5ms monitor capped at 60 hertz. if you plan on getting a really expensive and powerful gpu, you need to get an equally good monitor. if you truly want to have a great experience with a triple monitor setup, you need to spend more money. at this point, you can't afford it. i can't recommend any monitors for gaming that are higher than 1 ms, lower than 144 hertz, and don't have gsync.

if you really want a 3 monitor setup, i'd recommend you watch this youtube video:

https://youtu.be/XZtROXwJSCE?t=3m38s

he has 2 asus vg248qe monitors to the left and right of a single asus rog swift. if you couldn't afford x3 rog swift monitors, you could go with that setup above

anything else would be absolute shit and a waste of money

you need 3 display ports on your gpu and 3 display port cables for those monitors. do not use anything else as it will be capped at 60 hertz or 60 fps

So I've modified my build and now have two versions The first one, which I've modified a little bit, and this one http://pcpartpicker.com/p/kM8823 I'm going to get the build that I have the money for. With my second build, I've run into a problem I can't find a case that will fit my 980 ti sli.
