Problemi with audio

Recently i bought extension cable for 3.5 jack,since my front jack has problems...When i use the extension for headphones it works fine but when i try to attack speakers (their are powered from wall) sound does not work...Any idea of what the problem can be?

You are using the audio port at the back of your motherboard? Have you tried your speakers without the cable?

 

Are the speakers enabled in Windows?

Yeah,i connected the extension on the back port...Also,speaker works as i used them before without any extension..Cant understand where the problem can be

So you're speakers work fine without the extension cable? You don't happen to have any other cables to test?

Unfortunately no,i dont have other cables to test. However the speakers work if i connect directly to motherboard back port.. But i dont want to switch speakers with the cable each time(i bought it so i can use headphones for gaming,since the front jack is not working perfectly) ...The problem can be the excessive length of cable? they had only 2 meters one

Nah cable length isn't a problem, was it a really cheap cable? Maybe the speakers aren't making proper contact with your extension cable, sorry I can't offer too much help with odd problems like that without being hands on.

Yeah,he sold me it for 4 euro..Can be because we are sort of friends..The only thing i dont understand why it works with headphones without any problem.. Dont worry dude,i appreciate your help

I only asked about the price because I thought it may have a cheap 99c poorly made cable from eBay or something, if I think of anything that could help I'll let you know tomorrow afternoon.
