a g1 gaming 970 should be fine.... for decent game play

ad a 980 would handle it no problem

<p>Wish I could have this already!! : http://pcpartpicker.com/p/qTLRjX

I'd deffinately take a cheap 980 for that resolution. the memory will give you an advantage over the 970. had both  but don't relly see much gain at 1440p 16:9 but at your resolution a 980 is just the better choice.

                                                                                      wow... pretty empty here...

Hi. congrats on your ultrawide-ness :)

Personally i would go for a 980ti or a 970/390(with plans for sli in the future, if your mobo supports it)

60fps will get increasingly harder to sustain in the future so even a 980ti isnt overkill

the 980 is not worth the money right now, better the 390x(the msi 390x gaming is really good) than a 980.

Just get a 980 Ti if you got the money, yeah some people would say its not worth the 1080p but come on whats not bad about having a lot of FPS? also if you get a 4K panel in the future you got the perfect card for it

Get the 980 Ti G1 from Gigabyte

Early 2020 Build : Intel i7 8700k // MSI Krait Z370 // Corsair LPX 8x2 16GB // Aorus 5700 XT // NZXT H500

Early 2019 Build : Ryzen 2600X // Asus Tuff X470 // G.Skill Trident Z RGB 8x2 16GB // MSI RTX 2070 // NZXT H500

Late 2017 Build : Intel i7 8700k // Asus Prime Z370-A // G.Skill Trident Z 8x2 16GB // EVGA GTX 1080 Ti  // NZXT S320 Elite

Late 2015 Build : Intel i7 6700k // Asus Maximus VI Gene Z170 //  Corsair LPX 8x2 16GB // Gigabyte GTX 970 // Corsair Air 240

the g1 form gigabyte is def the one im leaning towards on regards to the 980 ti series!

i feel like the 970 would be a low cost upfront but i may have to upgrade fairly soon (few years) compare to the other cards.

the only problem with the 980 ti is that the higher is that my monitor wont make the best use from it

its a 144Hz monitor, you'll want to have games running over 144 FPS to experience the monitor in full glory

I'd say 980 Ti g1 if you have the money, there's really nothing you can go wrong with it
