Is kaspersky (total security) a good antivirus?

What's your opinion

I like it a lot and have been using it for ages on my gaming rigs. I use my other rigs to try out other security software and only put what I like on my gaming rig. The only draw back that has been a thorn in my side with Kaspersky is that they are sooooo slow with updates. I am not talking about virus stuff I am talking about software compatibility issues on the rare occasion they do arise.
