Random test I did with the afterburner capture utility:

Only thing is that you will need a fast hard drive to capture video at 1080P at max quality, I recommend getting a SSD or using a Raid 0 with two HDDs.

you need a fast HDD or if u have a fast cpu, use x264vfw with high compression.

What if the hard drive itself is not fast enough?

You will need to either turn down the quality settings or record at a lower resolution. Otherwise your video will not be smooth.

you recorded in what resolution? which Storage you record into?

720P at 90% quality to a Seagate Barracuda 1TB.

If I recorded at 1080P it was too laggy, so I partitioned a 10GB RAM Disc and used that.

Ram Disc vs SSD? which better? btw you running on single card right ?

SSD, wayyyy cheaper and good enough performance. And yes one card.
